Nowadays you could bet you're house, car, and kids, that high fashion magazines will be filled with pictures of stick-thin size 0 models. However, Vogue has broken this depressing cycle of having to pick up a magazine and stare at unachievable figures.
The Italian version of the magazine has employed plus-size models for their July cover. The editor of Italian Vogue, Franca Sozzani, has done this in an attempt to campaign against pro-anorexia websites.
She is also currently running a petition in the hope of shutting down websites that encourage eating disorders. She said: "Fashion has always been blamed as one of the culprits of anorexia, and our commitment is to prove that fashion is ready to get on the frontline and struggle against the disorder." She has also promised that this will not be the last Vogue cover featuring a plus-size model.
Good on her! We think these women have gorgeous figures and are a welcomed breathe of fresh air! What do you think?
