For many of you, myself included, knowing that the ‘70s era’ is in right now and ‘Navajo trends’ are all the range for the coming season means absolutely nothing.

Yes it’s interesting… But we don’t want to know what eras and cultures to look for when walking into River Island or Topshop… We want to know what clothes are going to be a hit - Simple as that!

What type of maxi dress will make heads turn? Can I still wear floral prints? What sunglasses shall I pack in my holiday suitcase? Etc, etc, etc…

So here are some of the things to look out for in the coming season…

Maxi goes sheer...

The Maxi dress has exploded onto the fashion scene in the past few years, but like all trends they tend to evolve each season. It is set to merge with another trend – sheer. So stay ahead of the game and keep your eyes pealed for a sheer maxi dress.

Tassels...

Tassels are constantly in and out of trend, one minute we love them the next minute we hate them! But this summer we will be loving them... so we’re told anyway.

Dare to bare...

2009 onwards sparked a downward spiral for crop tops, however, they’re back in trend, so get your tummy out knowing you look fierce!

Colour pops...

Bright bold colour blocking is going to be huge this summer, make sure you mix and match bright pieces!

Stripes...

Stripes seem to be in trend every summer, this year go for the more nautical approach – think sailor!

Classic Antique...

LACE…Yes it’s not new either… however it is taking on a new lease of life. Expect to see more classic and antique style lace pieces rather than the all over stretch lace.Uh oh...

As far as I’m concerned kitten heels are a no go, either go all out or stick to flats… but a lot of celebrities have been wearing kitten heels lately, and I fear the trend is coming back upon us.

Wide leg pants...

Many of you may have already noticed the emergence of this trend, with skinny’s being so common was there ever any doubt that the fashion forward would need to change their style of choice?  

Tails...

Tail hems - Celebrities have been sporting this trend a lot recently, and it’s set to be this summers answer to the dilemma of maxi or mini?

Cat eyes...

Every summer the essential accessory is a pair of sunglasses, and every summer this essential accessory needs to be updated! Allude 50 and 60’s glamour with a pair of cat eye sunglasses.

Not matching...

This means you can wear floral with strips with leopard print with polka dots with anything! You can basically pull off wearing what doesn’t ‘match’.
